Ukrainian oligarch Rinat Akhmetov purchased a villa on the Cote d'Azur in France for 200 million euros (almost 14 billion rubles). Previously, the mansion belonged to the Belgian king Leopold II. It is reported by "Strana.ua" with reference to the Financial Times.

Villa Les Cedres now belongs to the richest man in Ukraine according to Forbes. After Leopold II, the Marnier-Lapostol family, known for its production of Grand Marnier brandy, owned the house. In 2016, the company that owns Grand Marnier was acquired by Campari. He sold the villa to SCM Holdings Limited, owned by Rinat Akhmetov.

The decision was supported by five judges, four opposed. Earlier, a court in  New York blocked the order of the authorities, which was supposed to enter into force from mid-October 2019.
In accordance with the proposed rules, the use of Medicaid preferential medical insurance, participation in the program for obtaining food stamps and preferential purchase of housing will be considered negative factors when considering an application for a green card. Also, problems with obtaining permits for permanent residence can occur in people suffering from "a disease that may require serious treatment" and "prevent a foreigner from providing for himself / herself, attending school or work." The same will happen if such a person does not have sufficient funds to pay for the treatment of such a disease. The negative characteristics will also be the lack of private medical insurance and insufficient level of English proficiency, which does not allow “to enter the labor market.
